Its reliable and powerful
Its a bit slow, too bulky and too heavy. Needs a chiller and maintenance
High quality hardware ( as compared to other “Chinese” lasers.
I like the newer RF tube based lasers (not water cooled), but these were not available from Thunder three years ago.
Creating items, repairs and maintenance
Nothing
Versatility, great ventilation, easy to clean. Fast. Prototyping is fast. So much more powerful than the Glowforge, and easier to use.
Integrated camera would be nice, or more ports to make it easier to add multiple.
Seems well built and thought out
How heavy it is (and how much it smells)
Everything but if I have to pick one it would be the dual air assist.
I would have on off switched for the lights and something other that just a key to open panels.
These reviews are from other thunder machines and may not reflect this specific model's features
industrial, fast, precise. It is a beast. I love it!
Unpacking it was tough. Alarm goes off at times and I don't know why.
Compact size
Cutting area too small
Bed size and power to cut through materials
I'm in an education setting and the frustration with the Lightburn software to run the machine has been high. It is also not delicate enough to etch some cardboard materials without totally burning through like my 45w Glowforge can.
