Compact size
Cutting area too small
Speed
Irregular surface following
Being able to take digital designs and turn them into physical functional parts or art is great.
It would just be "more" (speed, power, work area)
The Bolt is an incredible machine that packs industrial quality and speed into a small form factor. The machine is very versatile and extremely well made and engineered. The only down side is the 12" by 20" work area. The more I use the Bolt the less I want to use my larger Monport CO2 (and I have had zero issues with the Monport). It's just that much better of an experience. Lots of small touches that add up in a big way.
Thunder now offers a much larger bed size on the Bolt series. If a famous, millionaire youTuber would send $15K my way I would be happy to evaluate the new Bolt offerings! I hope you could detect the tongue in cheek manner in which that statement was typed.
the compact size
slow down the framing function
The engraving is fast, love the z axis space and autofocus
better cutting abilities for thicker materials, more consistent cutting results.
Very fine engraving, fast enough cutting, good camera for placement.
More power!
Reliable, thin kerf, fast, rock solid design, good support
Full pass through
These reviews are from other thunder machines and may not reflect this specific model's features
industrial, fast, precise. It is a beast. I love it!
Unpacking it was tough. Alarm goes off at times and I don't know why.
Bed size and power to cut through materials
I'm in an education setting and the frustration with the Lightburn software to run the machine has been high. It is also not delicate enough to etch some cardboard materials without totally burning through like my 45w Glowforge can.
Its reliable and powerful
Its a bit slow, too bulky and too heavy. Needs a chiller and maintenance
