The OneLaser X Series has been making waves, and I recently ranked it as one of the top contenders in the desktop CO2 laser market. So, let’s see if it lives up to the hype!

The engraving is good, and the cutting is acceptable.
The documentation is AWFUL. I’ve told the team at OneLaser that if they are serious about building a brand that will be attractive to aspiring makers or entrepreneurs then they need to fix the documentation. Their price point is good compared to “premium” brands, but it’s still too high for a machine marketed to people who aren’t into doing a lot of tinkering and trial-and-error, like some of the cheaper brands.
Since getting this CO2 laser engraving machine, my studio has become twice as fun! It's like a magic box that can turn any digital pattern into a physical object. I made leather bookmarks for friends with their names engraved on them, unique coasters for coffee mugs, and cut acrylic to make a night light. Every time the finished product comes out, the feeling of satisfaction is beyond words. The machine has high precision and can perfectly restore the details of the design. Although it requires a little learning cost, once you get started, you will discover a whole new world. A strong amway for all friends who like to create with their hands!
The machine cannot engrave and cut all materials. For example, chlorine-containing materials such as PVC will release toxic gases and are strictly prohibited from use. Therefore, every time before trying a new material, you need to do your homework and conduct a small-scale test, which will consume some trial and error materials and time.

When I got it there were some assembly issues. It powered on, but the gantry did not move. But with the help of tech support, once we got everything plugged in and the limit switch set correctly it is working fine.

While it excels at engraving metal and other materials, thicker materials are challenging, and you need to go slowly. Aside from that, it’s very reliable once you get the settings right.
As a laser beginner, I chose the XRF. I was drawn to the machine's all-in-one design, and it was incredibly easy to set up upon arrival. I could essentially use it right out of the box, which saved me the hassle of extra configuration.
The XRF was shaken during shipping, which caused the laser path (optical alignment) to be slightly off. I was disappointed because I couldn't find any related guidance documents or links in the packaging box. I eventually reached out to the technical support, and they quickly guided me through the realignment process, which was great. However, I still strongly suggest including the instructional guide right in the box. This would greatly help beginners like myself know how to proceed immediately after unboxing.

However, as this may be the initial product version, there are flaws in the smoke exhaust system. We hope to see improvements in later product iterations.

I'm extremely satisfied with the fineness of its photo engraving. I'm amazed that such a small - sized machine can achieve such high - quality engraving.
I hope it can improve its smoke - extraction ability. I bought an additional exhaust fan to draw the smoke outdoors. It would be even better if there were standalone smoke purifiers for sale.

Nothing at all
It's the best "desktop" laser out there. The RF tube is total game changer, and I can't image going back to run a glass tube only laser. I really like that it's a complete package, ready to plug in and go kind of machine. No need for water for cooling and it comes with exhaust, air assist and a camera! Unmatched speed and power for the best price!

Doesn't have built in fume extractor
The dual laser head give me so many options. The machine does what it supposed to do, requires little extra intervention and is very well built. Not to mention that the price paid for what I got was an exceptional value.
Air assist was puny as built. Had to upgrade that to handle fume extraction.
The machine has stable performance, simple operation, and the supporting software is quick to use. The carvings and cuts in wood and acrylic were very detailed and had smooth edges, exactly what I expected. The customer service is also very professional and answers all questions. For this price, it is extremely cost-effective and is an excellent choice for DIYers and makers. A very satisfying purchase!
The mirror plate and focusing lens need to be cleaned and maintained regularly, otherwise the engraving effect will be affected. Although the process is not complicated, for those who are afraid of trouble, it may take some getting used to.
